It's the only thing left of the Stadium organ.

I do! I do! I do!

If I remember correctly the rest of the original organ was lost in a warehouse fire maybe

somewhere southwest like Arizona?

Now that I do remember.

In October of 1996, a propane tank on a trailer parked next to the warehouse had a exploded which created a big fire in the surrounding area. The warehouse was soon engulfed, and the two Bartons, along with a 3/19 WurliTzer from the Loew's State Memphis (Opus 1271) which had been fully restored and was waiting installation in a planned pizza restaurant were totally destroyed.

The Stadium console which had not been moved into the warehouse survived and was sold to Phil Maloof who has it installed in his music room at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I love that pict since it shows the seats I shared at the ol' Stadium. That last row (left side) under the loft.

Oh the memories.

Mr. Pellico was out in Vegas a while ago and actually got to play it again. It is hooked up to a computer that recreates the sound, but it is lacking. Still, it is great the console is still around.

also, I don't know how many of you stay after games, but Mr. Pellico would play "My Vision". If you haven't heard it, find it. It is a nice tune. Al Melgaard, the Hawks organist for just about forever, played it after ever event at the Stadium. Mr. Pellico kept the tradition alive.

Until recently. He was told to never play it again, as it is to depressing. What a bunch of douchebags.

They an eat a butt.
