In upper-tier competition, where specific position and role is fairly clear-but, he is a DM, but here in MLS where fluidity and adaptability is necessity for a career, he will be a box-to-box kind of guy. I get the feeling that he has always been used as a DM, but he wants to get forward and this was his chance to show that he could still do it at a competitive level.

Dude is short, but he's built like a brick shithouse.

We won't know to we get an international spot. Great job FIRE, you get a player that might help us, but we don't have a international spot so he could play.

I was kinda surprised Larentowicz started last game after the "Cacha" #20 Fire jersey picture that was leaked on twitter.

Would free up a DP spot by getting rid of Mackie too. Too late to add another one anyway but still.

Still can not that Andy will, if we could find one the doesn't require a transfer fee we can sign him.

Sure but that "Keane money" DP he always talks about can't happen, so probably nothing major.

If he was willing to sign such a players he still can this year, just can't have a transfer fee. So say out of contract big name (whoever you want) player somehow wants to play in MLS and for some reason Chicago, then we still would be able to sign him this year.

BUT, that so called "Keane-money" player will NEVER happen.

The #20 jersey was sent to Cacha as a gift before The Ginger got here--so it isn't a sign of the Fire trying to shift him. And, tbh, the Fire had to complete the deal for Rios during the xfr window--even though they can loan a player out at any time--hence, the signing and not playing b/c there isn't a spot yet. Stay tuned for later today or early tomorrow though.

Thanks for the clarification, I had seen the photo on HotTimesInOldTown and they didn't seem to have known that yet, and then the Fire unretweeted the photo too which was bizarre.
