Sound like we have another Jerry Krause, a GM jealous of all the credit the Coach and Players are getting and wants to be notice

I would gladly choose to Keep Tom and make him happy and give him more Power than to lose Tom because eventually somebody is going to come along with a sweeter deal real soon. Tom is no Vinny Del Negro, your not going to be able bully him and tell him what to do how what lineup he should use like Paxson allegedly tried to do with Vinny

I can't tell without being on the inside that Tom is not a guy you can push around

not only that but I think he might be the Best X's and O's Head Coach in the NBA at the moment other than maybe Pop with the Spurs.

It has taken years of posting for me to finally get you guys to realize this harsh truth.
I see everyones catching on to the truth whether its convienient or not.
John Paxson has to go...................NOW and not a second later.......Or else progress shall stand pat...........forever.......Paxson remains stuck like a statue, motionless....

Bulls have a good thing going so far so its messed up for gar to beef with thibs like that. If thibs doesn't have the talent he wants to coach then the bulls won't do shit except lose to Miami in the playoffs. And as for the 2nd star thing I know deng and noah are allstars but a rose/deng/noah combo won't put fear in an opposing team like a rose/melo or rose/kobe or rose/love combo would plus I really don't see d.wade dropping off he's 31 not 38 or 39 plus there's plenty of "clinics" down there for him to visit to "help" him play better

I think Noah's health and continued emergence on the offensive side will be the deciding factor this season. When he and Rose are on the floor together, the Bulls can't be stopped. Problem is, Noah's wheels are shot.

Nice post. Agree with most of it. However, despite all the magic people give the "two superstar" formula, I like the Bulls over Houston and Brooklyn and see them as just slightly behind OKC. The Heat have the best player on the planet and there's no getting around that. Bosh is a top-20 player IMO. Both of these guys are smack in their primes. Wade is the wild card IMO. If DWade is "The Great DWade," every team in the league is clearly outmanned by the Heat. On the other hand, if the much-discussed Wade dropoff continues, things can get interesting for the rest of the league.

I'd agree and say that the Bulls are easily one of the top 5 teams in the league, probably higher if fully healthy as is. That said, the magic of the multiple superstar formula is that other teams can't just clamp down on DRose and force role players (because if you're not a star, you're a role player) to beat them. Having guy #2 not only takes pressure of Rose to do everything, but gives us another legitimate option with the game on the line down the stretch. You can put the ball in this guy's hands and expect the same outcome as you would Rose. Deng isn't that guy. Boozer failed at being that guy. It's obvious Joakim can't be that guy offensively. Especially going up against a team like the Heat where they do have multiple stars, one of which is the best player in the world, you at least want to be able to fight fire with fire in a sense. Though with the Heat even with 2 stars it's like fighting a volcano with a flamethrower. Even if Wade declines the Heat still have Bosh to produce buckets and Ray Allen who remains one of the clutchest shooters in the league. I doubt Deng and Dunleavy (just throwing names out there) could match their production and effectiveness leaves Miami still on top.

You mean it will get ugly. The water is already boiling regarding Thibs' patience with Dumb & Dumber in the Front Office. Deng leaves and finds a new deal and more than likely Thibs will walk into the office and punch Gar somewhere on his very large forehead. lol

I just hope if Deng walks they let Thibs go get a good enough replacement. That might be asking too much from GarPax though.... :smoke:

I would imagine Noah re-aggravating his groin injury in a meaningless preseason game doesn't help matters either.
