If that's the case, I'd just save him until the year after next. Give him all of next year to rest and rehab so he can return fresh for a whole season in 2013-14.

Here's another reason Bulls' fans should actually hope that they tank (yes, I said HOPE that they tank)- if the Bulls are out of the playoff picture by mid-March then they are much less likely to try to bring Rose back (and risk further injury/set-back). The most ideal time for Rose to return would be training camp, 2013.

Not surprised at all. Expected it to take him to March range anyway.

We've known this all along. Rose himself thinks he can come back quicker, but that is just a bad idea. As has been discussed here..it takes a full year to recover from an ACL tear..that puts him at full recovery in May...when the Bulls would be in the 2nd round of the playoffs..if they could get that far...

Its best to just forget about this season. Its a lost season, not that the team would have competed for a title as currently constructed anyways. Miami just got a shit ton better. Let the guys rest, let the front office work its magic next offseason (we hope) and then we'll compete for that title at 100% in 2013-14.

If he comes back in January, March, anytime...wouldn't the front office make sure there is no risk of further injuries or any set backs BEFORE approving his coming back? I don't get people's thinking on the subject. I would believe that at no time under any circumstances would he be allowed back if he is not fully healed. Maybe I am wrong...but it would seem that way to me.
