It's made being part of a team's medical/training staff a brutal position to be in. You have to save players from themselves, and you're usually going to get cussed out or looked down upon for your effort.

Remember Jason Witten screaming at a trainer during last year's Bears/Cowboys' game? And that guy was doing Witten a favor.

well, i hope he gets better and has a descent career and doesnt end up like justin morneau and sidney crosby. poor kid. I know he wants to be out there, but he has to sit out as long as he has any symptoms.

I dont think he has a dignosed concussion..but think he was banged around enough to feel it...going back a few games and then sunday against st. louis he had a few battles with Langenbrunner I think...be one thing if he left the game after a big hit but we didnt see it..anyway, might be splitting hairs..the way Q talked its not crosby like, lets put it that way...i think he's back this weekend..at least thats what im hearing the plan is...

This is tragic if he's had a concussion. We've all seen whats happened to Sidney Crosby. Toews IS the Chicago Blackhawks. I'd hate to imagine a team without him.

Sounds like Toews played a few games after sustaining the concussion. I highly, highly doubt it's anywhere near Crosby's level if that's the case.

Has anyone actually confirmed that it's a concussion? I have a hard time believing a guy who sits in a radio station all day has better sources than the people who are actually covering the team every single day.

Zawaski was reporting Toews's upper body injury is a concussion yesterday afternoon. Could the head-on car crash with an El beam today have anything do with it or even make it worse...probably.

I think that's a bit of a leap. Pretty nasty weather today here in the Chicago area. I'll bet that was the blame.
