A few times I have tried to give someone a positive rep on a post it has given me a message that said I have given out to much reputation in the past 24 hours...do "thanks" count against this because I don't hand out pos rep too often and I hand out dislike rep even less, was just curious as to why I have gotten this message a few times. I'm guess ing it is because of "thanks" given out

Ok, that's what I figured...just sucks that the past few times I wanted to give a positive rep instead of a thanks I was denied. Is there a way to increase that limit?

Keep asking these questions and you'll be enjoying a nice ban.

It would be my first ban off a Bears message board...got banned from the Bills message board before I even posted a thing....wanted to join BillsBud's motorcycle gang

I don't really know the answer, so I'm going to say no.

This is an area for Cry to explain.

Not too worried about it, was just curious and thought I would ask. Thanks for letting me know

Thanks are reps. The limits are there to reduce rep farming.

Almost everyone has the same rep bars right now (5 blue, 6 green) but when you scroll over the bars, the quote you're given ranges greatly. Why is that?

Edit: Everyone that posted in this thread besides grimson has the 5 blue, 6 green rep, yet different quotes. It would seem to insinuate that we're all at different levels of rep, no? Just a bit confused here..

What's broken about them?

Ahh, I see. One of the official patches knocked out the template mod I did. Oh well.

Seems to me that if you're giving out thanks and positive rep, that should count towards more that you can give. Also, if you're constantly giving dislike reps, you should be able to do it less.

No. The more rep you have the more you should be able to give. Or your repping should have more power. Like if some dipshit with no rep negs you, it does very little to your rep points. If you turn around and dislike him back, he gets a two day ban.
