Little back round for the research. Looking for reviews from the great people here.

I am a big guy, 6'4" 305lbs looking to buy a new bed. I move all over, back, side sleep mostly. I have bought top of the line coil in the past, but it is now time to purchase again. Budget is about 5k. What are all of you sons of bitches sleeping on right now? I would prefer comments from the strong lumberjack types only, not the weasily 5' 8 140 lbs peeps out there. Thanks.

Don't mean to call you small guys weasily, but when I shake your female like hands, I can't think of a better term, especially when you wince after the death grip is applied. :)

I agree completely, short "guys" are literally just like girls.

Damn, I would so like to have a debate with Spartan, but unfortunately he cannot defend his position at this time... Anyways, I am not short and fat, been a hard working industrial mechanic for +25yrs. I brush my teeth with 36in pipe wrenches. Most of you pansies probably don't know what a pipe wrench is or could lift one.

Mattress industry is a scam. They're all the same. Just pick foam or spring.

Do you have a Mattress Firm near you? They are currently in liquidation. Store close to my house had stuff like 75% off. That's all the advice i can give cuz I'm short and puny and very unmanly apparently.

This

Don't buy one of the scam mattresses, especially the ones that put heavy money into advertising on podcasts(and the podcast personality worshipers convince themselves the products are actually revolutionary because their best buddy sez so) but the mattress winds up leaking a steady level of latex dust after warranty until you just get fed up and buy the next scam mattress.

I'd look at a serta memory foam.

The wife and I have one with the cooling gel, I think we went with firm, it's comfortable for me. You can get an adjustable base with it if that's your thing.

Sometimes they will have a sale where the adjustable base is free as well.

I think we paid right around 4 Grand.

The one before was a Simmons beauty rest pillow top with coils. Firm as well. It's our guest bed now and is still really comfortable.

Paid 3600 for that one.

Sleep is important so I'd go try out a bunch of different ones. Fair warning though turn off your phones location unless you want to spend the next several months getting spammed with mattress ads. We spent a couple hours in one mattress store and both of us got hammered with every possible mattress ad you could imagine.
