Will be in Taos, NM skiing for a few days over the Holidays. Anybody have good experiences/recommendations for Restaurants/Bars/Food. Staying in Taos proper and driving up to the ski area daily so the ski valley or Taos proper is fine. Thanks.

I do not know anything about the place you speak of, but my advice, get some peyote. Safe trip!

Pass on the peyote. Will already be high just being in Taos, I live at near sea level elevation so I will have altitude related buzz on day one anyway.

So the trip was an adventure. Drove through a blizzard to get there. From Fort Stockton, TX to Las Cruces, NM is normally a 3 hour drive, took us 7 hours. After that the roads improved and it was much easier. Roads north of Fort Stockton in South East NM and the Pan Handkle of Texas were all closed.

As far as food in Taos I recommend Cafe Renato and the 3 one 6 Station Bar & Grill. Can't recommend Outback Pizza, got diarrhea the next day, though the kids loved it and no one else got sick.

Taos was awesome, skiing was great. Highly recommend it if your looking to go skiing this winter.
