My favorite teams
150 N. Dearborn
Atmosphere: A lot of seating in the dining room, and a room off to the side for parties of I'm guessing no more than 30. Very nice bar area with plenty of high tops and seating outside. The bar itself is huge, allowing for a lot of seating and definitely a great fixture in the place. The dining room is loaded with pencil drawing of famous Chicagoans and other celebrities that have eaten there. For instance, the seat I was at had Scottie Pippen, Jack Benny, and Phyliss Diller.
Bathrooms: They had 'em, I used 'em.
Food: Pretty standard Italian, with fresh made pasta everyday and just bought veggies is most dishes. I would have preferred the butternut squash with pistachios, but it was only on special on Mondays. They do have steaks and seafood, with about five different options for each. I had the arancini as an app, steak diane for entree, and tiramisu for desert. +1 had the calamari, amish chicken, and cheesecake. The only thing bad was the arancini, IMO.
Service: Great. No complaints . Petterino's caters to the theater crowd, so I almost expected them to rush you through your meal. This wasn't the case. All but 1 person who was around to help our dinner asked what show +1 and I were seeing.
Atmophere II: Because it is a pre-theater crowd, you have ladies in there dressed very nicely. Luckily with it being June, I was able to get a couple views of some nice looking legs and cleavage. +1 caught me a few times, but not every time.
Drinks: Pretty standard. Nothing special about Petterino's unless you like martini's and manhattans. I don't so this was a big meh.
Price: We did the prix fixe menu. $35 a piece for an app, entree, and desert. Add in two drinks a piece for myself and +1 and we got out of there for about $115 with tip. You could easily dine at this place for under $75 for two people.
Overall: It was just another Italian restaurant. I didn't think it was anything to speciall. I give it 3 :bizarro: out of 5 :bizarro:'s
