I think he could do it, he was one of the best slot receivers of his time.

The league is softer and he is strong.

Cam Newton and Terrell Owens probably got ended a bit early too, it's just a risk/reward challenge nuisance thing with their big personalities and egos.

They probably fit in with younger generation better than most.

He was versatile, and even more effective in the slot. This was partly due to facilitating QBs that couldn't make plays outside the hash without protection like Kyle Orton.

It might have happened much more after 30 but it sure as hell happened. I used to read analytics about it.

Why do your think he thinks he could be a modern TE? He knows this.

I'd consider a guy who play 70% of his snaps outside not a slot guy, but you do you buddy.
