Interesting question that's been asked (not yet answered) to Kevin Fishbain's mailbag on The Athletic:

The Michael Reese site has been brought up as a new place for a stadium. Seems that Kevin Warren is trying to get public money, but it won’t happen. As gross as it sounds, was Ted Phillips right to work behind the scenes with Arlington Heights as the sole location as opposed to Kevin Warren’s monorail pitch meets Christian revival public clamor for free money? Now the ship has sailed on working behind the scenes with Arlington Heights, there will be a microscope on everything. Is it fair to say Kevin Warren has not lived up to his billing and put the McCaskey’s in a worse position i.e. no stadium in place and no public money

Your thoughts?

Public money for private business should be a charge of treason and punishment of death.

When that private business then sells the rights to what that public money bought to pay services the private business should get treason and death.

Warren really had nothing to do with it. Attitudes like mine have been around for a very long time and bad actors like the NFL have been thumbing their nose at the taxpayers for just as long.
I'm amazed but not surprised Pritzker said no in the way he did. Nobody likes it.
