Because Rex is the epitome of great coaching.

61-66 coaching record
2 winning seasons out of 8
Although his playoff record is outstanding 4-2 with 2 AFC Championship loses....
134 challenges 68-66 not bad

I mean.. he was competing as the Hets HC.

thats like winning in Cleveland Detroit and now Chicago.

There's just no excuses for being this bad offensively, especially when the big reason they hired this guy was because he apparently was an offensive guru as Rex said.

Imagine hiring someone for a job and the one strength that stood out on their resume and during the interview was in fact a big weakness and hinders the entire team they're supposed to be managing.

Eventually they gotta cut their losses, he's proven what he is.

The fans of the jets were happy as shit the first couple years. Not sure how they thought about Sanchez as their QB. He teams never beat the Bears

he coached the jets for most of that and had a dam good defense. Nagy wishes he could be on his level
Yep 6 years with the Jets 46-50 record with 2 AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES.

Screw Rex Ryan and screw ESPN. Dying network that drums up shit like this to draw the miniscule fraction of people still braindead enough to watch cable television. Rex Ryan loses all football credibility by being complicit in this bullshit. Same goes for the likes of Louis Riddick, too.

What exactly makes you so enlightened? I mean, you're too good for cable television so what is your platform that makes you smarter than Rex Ryan?

I will say anyone who spews incendiary nonsense for ratings is a blowhard and unprofessional, not worthy of having an opinion worth considering.
So.............who exactly in the "media" these days doesn't spew incendiary nonsense for clicks or to get noticed? It's all the same, but you seem to know who is culturally relevant.

Rex’s record is out there for anyone to go over. His 2 playoff appearances in 8 seasons 2 winning season in 8 seasons means he is hall of fame worthy. After his first 2 seasons he made the playoffs exactly zero more times going 41- 44 and never having another winning season. Not the route we want to go with Matt

What does that have to do with him as a commentator? He is just speaking the truth. Nagy has repeatedly thrown Mitch and anyone else he found to conveniently deflect blame, under the bus.

Not much....why? Never said he wasn’t correct never said he was a bad commentator. What I did say is we don’t want to keep Matt in the coaching ranks especially with the Bears and never had another winning season after his first 2 and he did not ever go back to the playoffs after his first 2 seasons

“With the Jets”

they’re as bad as us at drafting QBs and developing them.
Yeah, he was hamstrung with bad quarterbacks.
