FFS, can we please get this done already?
Either these guys come back or they don't.

Campi to abitration; Stalberg up in the air atm...if your boy elects arbitration, Hawks get a second buyout period.
adamjahns Adam Jahns
Viktor Stalberg also filed for arbitration. #Blackhawks
Let his ass walk..ray:
Unless we start wheeling, there is only room for Forlik on the roster.
YES!! Who says that SOFTberg is totally useless? Because he and Campoli both file for arbitration, the 2nd buyout period is ours!!
That means Olecz's 2+ million dollars is off the books.
This is probably all about labour relations - in these situations, typically an employee (in this case -the players), have a limited timeframe in order to file for arbitration -otherwise the lose that right.
In order to preserve that option; regardless of what they want of if they plan on playing hardball or signing, you would have to do it in order to use it later on -if you want to. It doesn't mean that anyone is going to arbitration at this stage- just that it can progress to that level if the player so desires.
Frolik, fwiw, isn't arbitration eligible (or so I've read).
But - it really just amounts to guys (everyone that filed) ticking a box. . . sort of like on tax returns where you have the option to be charged $3 to donate to election funds - which is simply a yes no question whether you want to spend $3 or not extra. I imagine most people tick the 'no' box ....
Whoa. Fro is certainly not going to receive a cap hit of 5+ mil. Without Smith, Kruger, and all of our RFAs signed, the Hawks have 19 signed with 8.8 in remaining space.
I'm not talking money. I am talking about roster spots. Campy and Stally don't fit anywhere on this roster at the moment.
Word has it Campoli is looking to top that deal by asking for $3 million per season.
The most interesting situation of the three could turn out to be Frolik. He’s not eligible for arbitration due to his service time and age but there are indications he’s asking for a huge raise. His base salary was $850,000 last year and Frolik is looking for close to $2.5 million.
Quite possibly. The same thing may help out the Rags as well.
You're right about Fro. And, in the past, arbitration here has been the kiss of death.
