Good core of 5-6 years that is young and high athletic. This is a year that Hahn hopes is the Gel year. That's what they are looking for in 2014. Seems very realistic to me.

Abreu, Garcia, Davidson future source of power, but the team is looking to be more diverse than just a power team. Hahn says Kenny has wanted it all along but often has not been available.

Hahn mentions taht the team has been stripped to the bedding and is being rebuilt.

All solid plans for me.

Is Sale untouchable? Nope. No one is. He's in the class of difficult to acquire. Has to be overwhelmed. Says Hershel Walker deal is what could get it done.

Payroll is still under budget at this point. Has not been under any economic pressure this off season.

Early June thru part of August, Dunn most productive hitter. He's been an underachiever for the three years. Does not think that Adam will walk away. He thinks Dunn will feel very little pressure to perform this year.

Hahn not hiding that this team was a 99 loss team and that the record reflects the team. That said, making long term moves to continue to improve not just for 2014 but for multiple seasons.

Decent interview. I really think he's flipped a team from a 99 loss team to potentially a .500 club in less than 5 months. Not too shabby. Given the draft pick coming and another off season this team could be a playoff chaser in 2015.

Agreed. This year is about development and building chemistry. Or gelling so to speak. I'm kinda of excited about baseball for the first time in a while

im good with the beane model plus spending 20 million more for someone to get us over the top, something that Oakland has been lacking to get a ring.

Its nice to have some young talent to hopefully watch develope and progress. Cant wait for spring!
