I hope there's a change, but every time ricketts opens his mouth more garbage seems to come out.

I'm not sure what people expected him to say. He won't come out and say Hendry sucks or is in risk of losing his job. Ricketts has to be political about it and pretend like things are okay. You can't attack your GM and portray a sinking ship. There is still a very good chance Hendry loses his job; he just isn't going to tell the media.

Not sure if I buy into all of Ricketts' praise for Hendry...usually this is called "the dreaded vote of confidence". He isn't going to come out and tear Hendry a new one to the media.

On the flip side, I do think Ricketts is dumb enough to believe what he's telling people, which isn't a surprise. If that's the case then we have a completely delusional man running the Cubs.
