MIAMI -- Chicago Bulls guard Richard Hamilton said he re-aggravated his groin and thigh bruise injuries during Sunday afternoon's 97-93 loss to the Miami Heat.

ESPN NBA Rip Hamilton iffy for game vs. Wizards

I guess that explains his shit effort in the second half. He will sit this entire road trip if not more. I don't see this dude staying healthy come playoffs.

Awwwwwww com on now people!!! You guys can't seriously be suprised by a 35 year old guy with a lot of wear and tear on them is injury prone........Do you guys really think that Harry Potter is magically going to inject Rip with magical youth serum????...This will remain the same and I wouldn't be suprised if Rip retires before his contracts up.....like I said, I love Rip and he has been a force for many years, but he's just not dependable anymore as the main guy at his position on any team..
This along with many differant Bulls situation makes my JR Smith theories much more relevant...
Jus admit it, we need the guy to get to the next level, at least this year in the playoffs.

SP1994 is right. If there is anyway the Bulls can get Dwight Howard, without trading Deng for him, the Bulls would go to the next level.

He would have sat if it weren't for Deng's injury.

Just bite the damn bullet and get Butler playing time and an actual role on this team. That kid takes ownership of his positioning on the floor. There is no need to wait for him, when you have your best opportunity to get him 10-20 minutes a game for a week or two, and settle him into the scheme.

He will get the minutes now. Too bad it's at the expense of another injury.

Good post Crystallas

Its a shame how the Bulls are wasting Butler.
If this continues he will suffer the same fate as James Johnson did on the Bulls.
This scenerio reminds me of just that.

Thibbs needs to use Butlers talent...
Unlike Johnson, Butler seems to have a much higher basketball IQ.

I fear the heat may have destroyed jimmy. I love the kid though.

I can kind of understand why Hamilton played. But now I don't want to see him until after the all star break, at the earliest.

And yet, this gives more realism to a Bulls Smith signing.

looks like that groin is going to effect him all season long and that can not be good news to the Bulls we can not afford to have that injury effect rip

I would sit him until after the All-Star weekend, let him try and get better. This is getting to be old real fast!

Resting him more would be great if 80% of the roster wasn't injured off & on so much. Thibs probably thinks he couldn't afford to sit him too many games in a row. I dunno...

Just sit these injured guys so they're not going to be completely gassed in April. I mean, ****.... Thibs already likes playing everyone 45 minutes a night. Go 8 deep like D'Antoni and just play everyone who's healthy a shitload of minutes until the other players get healthy or the wheels completely fall off. That seems like the direction Thibs is wanting to go, for better or worse I guess.

We're going to make the playoffs regardless. Our team is too deep. Why he keep risking injuring key players to play them 35-40 minutes a night in games we'll win without them is beyond me.

Let's fire Thibbs and hire Phil Jackson
