It is sad but the Hockey song will definitely live on. My kids and I always love to sing along when its played before every Hawks game.

So sad. Now Canada only has Gordon Lightfoot left and he is almost dead. Oh, and Leonard Cohen, the greatest Canadian of all time.

Stompin Tom became a big part of our family life. The Gumboot Gloggaroo was danced to at all of the family weddings as one of the first songs.

Never forget my Brother and Sister-in-law in their gumboots dancing at their wedding reception.

What story? That he is a Canadian folk legend? Or his health? He suffered a stroke about 7 years ago and then about 3 years ago there was an online hoax that he'd died. He did get mobility back in his hand and can still play guitar, but he's a bit frail.

Leonard Cohen is an amazing song writer. The way he can weave words together and the imagery he conjurs is amazing.

Whoever told him to sing should be dragged out in the street in front of his kids and shot. Then his corpse defiled and and put into a burlap sack with his household dog and cat and thrown into the Mackenzie river.

Whoever told him to sing should be dragged out in the street in front of his kids and turned into a saint because he allows the world to enjoy Leonard's gruff and beautiful voice which has been healing the souls of generations. Then his body should be adorned in gold and silks and and put ion a pedestal beside the Mackenzie river.

FIXED!

You are wrong. Gruff and beautiful voice? Really? If he would actually sing cool. If he would just talk cool. Make up your fucking mind, old man.

I will say The fact that he doesn't get the royalties from Hallelujah and those go to I think a childrens hospital is very noble of him.

I'm sure he is an amazing songwriter, but that hockey song blows.
