i heard about this from doug thonus' chicago now page.
Doesnt that mean that Buecher is suggesting that the bulls will be the best team in the league, and that derrick rose is the best player on the team.

I have absolutely no arguments with him about the second half. D-rose is the UNQUESTIONABLY! the best player on this team. Gordon's gone. he was the best player last year. This year he's competing with noah, miller, deng, and hinrich. i think rose might be the best player on the team at this point given his raw talent(not just potential) .

the only issue is whether the bulls are the best team in the league. to quote adam carolla, "ARE YOU HIGH"?

The Bulls are not top 10...yet. Salmons set an ambitious yet realistic goal. 4th seed. Everybody knows that Orlando, Cleveland and Boston have the top 3 spots sewn up barring injury. Salmons thinks the Bulls can contend with Atlanta and Miami. I am happy with that as a season goal.

I think Rose can get it if he leads Bulls far with that Simeon effect. Other than that, I don't see it. In year four, Rose will put up numbers like Lebron James. I can see him averaging 9 assist with 8 rebs and 20 ppg. His stat line will look ridiculous.

I don't think we'll see the best from Rose until this Bulls team get a real coach, and get at least a 15 and 10 guy that can make the game easier for him.

At this point, the only thing I see happening is Rose's field goal percentage taking a slight dip. He'll have to work harder for his points, and I think Rose will start to play a little more selfishly because the pressure is now completely on his shoulders.

Derrick Rose is by no means ready to be a MVP caliber player.

Not this year, not yet.

Losing the top scorer and still no true inside presence. Rose's numbers could go down a bit. Like someone said before, the pressure will be on him so he might be taking more shots etc..

Ben Gordon was the guy who always took those shots when the clock was down to 3, 2 and 1. I guess now it will be Rose and Salmons taking those shots. Those aren't always the best for FG% but you have to get it up.
