DEERFIELD, Ill. --- Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, who missed Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks with a sprained right ankle, practiced Wednesday and is a game-time decision to face the Miami Heat on Thursday, according to coach Tom Thibodeau.

The swelling in the ankle, which Rose injured in the second quarter of Sunday's game in New York, is gone.

Rose was seen warming up before Tuesday's game, but he decided not to play.

It was the 23rd game Rose missed with a variety of injuries, including turf toe, back spasms and a groin injury. The Bulls, who own the best record in the NBA at 44-14, are 16-7 without Rose.

As long as he doesn't try to play, like he did against the Knicks. If you aren't 100%, don't try to wing it, and play like you are.

Rose needs to learn how to play the role of a diversion. Then he can help his teammates more.

Thibbs needs to learn he doesn't have to play Rose 40 minutes the first game he comes back. We are loaded with gaurds that, for the most part have been doing just fine in his absence. So there shouldn't be a problem giving Rose more limited minutes until he is 100%.
