Today, Rose will be one of few players who will be featured tonight on NBA-TV at 7:30pm.

NBA Hometown Heroes (7:30 p.m.)

In this half-hour special, viewers will see what it's like for players to live and work in their own backyards. Akron product LeBron James landed just a short drive away in Cleveland; Denver native Chauncey Billups returned home to play for the Nuggets; Baron Davis is playing for his hometown Los Angeles Clippers; and Rookie of the Year candidate Derrick Rose made the leap from his Southside Chicago neighborhood to the United Center, running the show for the Bulls.

That is quite unfortunate. From what I have heard about him, I doubt he will have much respect from the other players. He is a total tool. He was traded because of problems in Calgary. I can't believe that leopard has changed his spots.

Can you say Kaberle is done in Toronto? That guy must be pissed about Phaneauf getting the C. Phaneauf killed Kaberles game when he joined the team. Hogs the puck on the pp and bumped Kaberle as the powerplay quarterback. Kaberles numbers suffered as soon as Phaneauf hit the roster. Doubt he sticks around and I am guessing Burke has a deal very close.



As for the jerseys. Good deal bringing back the stripes. Not sure about the white on the collar though. But still okay.

Or as a defenceman. I've rarely seen anyone more out of position than Phaneauf because he's more concerned of going for those "crushing/often times cheap" hits.
