There was some chick in my Philosophy class back in the day that looked just like Becky, so of course me and a few buds used to hum the Roseanne theme whenever she walked in.

if you watch the last episode it says that the last season was Roseanne's imagination for her story and never happened. They never won the lottery, Dan actually died from the heart attack, Jackie was actually a lesbian, David was actually dating Becky and Darlene actually dated Mark the whole time. The whole show was her twisting her life into the way she wanted it for her story basically.

Mindfucked me so hard when I saw it.

For a long time my life kinda mirrored the show. Middle class family living in some small town in Illinois with three kids. Oldest daughter is a blond. Middle daughter dyes her hair black and likes to draw. The only difference is that my youngest is girl and the older two don't have boyfriends living with us.

John Goodman was excellent and I always liked Tom Arnold. Never did really like Roseanne in character/real life. I know the show was based off of Rockford? Or Aurora I can't remember but the family dynamic always reminded me of people from Decatur.

Wiki says:
The show is centered on the Conners, an American working-class family struggling to get by on a limited household income in the fictional town of Lanford, Illinois. Lanford was nominally located in Fulton County, but other on-air references over the years suggest the town is in the vicinity of Aurora, Elgin, and DeKalb, which are much closer to Chicago. The family consisted of outspoken Roseanne, married to husband Dan, with three children; Becky, Darlene, and D.J.[SUP][5][/SUP]

Bonnie Bramlet was a rock legend in the early 70s. Somehow she became a cast member on the Roseanne show. Here she is singing a song on the show
