Not to be mean man but this is the most ridiculous idea I have ever seen. There are numerous wrong things with this post:
1) Derrick Rose looks like a guaruntee to be a top 3 PG in this league, why would we put him at SG?
2) Rubio is not a sure thing. How many European PG's that are good are there? 1? Tony Parker, ummm, Calderon can hit a lot of free throws in a row, I guess that's like being a good punter. So there are only 1 and even if turns out to be good, he won't be as good as Rose EVER! Yes there are a lot more foreign players but most of the top 20 players in the league are Americans and most of the top Euro guys are big men like Dirk and Pau. The only way I would take a European PG is if they actually worked out for people and maybe play in draft camps against American kids to gauge how good he is. He was probably smart not to work out then everyone would realize he sucks, if he was so great he would have worked out. And he is 18, I love how this kid can get around Stern's stupid age barriers because he isn't from the U.S. Oh and I am tired of ESPN guys saying he held his own against us in the Olympics and ran Spain's offense to a good game against us. WRONG, Rubio got ripped first time he tried to bring it up by JKidd and I think CP3, then Spain took him off the ball and he never brought the ball up again, and was playing the shooting guard spot. He might have brought it up one or two more times when we were double teaming Navarro so he had to but he did not run the offense in the Olympics at all!
3) Rubio is a spoiled little brat who's mom doesn't like the cold. Then go back to Spain, can't go anywhere without MOMMY, another european softee. Did Brandon Jennings mommy go to Europe with him? we don't even know it wasn't even an issue.
4) Tyrus has proved more valuable than trading for a mysterious slow and soft European player, we need to get back Bosh or Amare for Tyrus, NO less. Doug Thonus said Rubio has great vision, huh?, from those Euro highlights? How does Doug know what his vision will be like against Americans who are all faster, stronger and actually play defense. Looked to me like he was a young stupid kid trying dazzle moves against old men who weren't even interested in playing defense. No one ever comes within 2 feet of him. Tyrus would have thrown half those stupid behind the back tricks into the 10th row, what a scrub! He was injured a lot of the year and the stats that I bring up for him in Europe are horrible. Brandon Jennings had better stats then Rubio according to the Euroleague stats that I saw, and he didn't even get to play. Also are these European teams run like an ABA team? There are 25 guys on a roster and they all played 20mpg? So the teams are constantly changing throughout the year? maybe they have 1 guy the same from opening day by the end of the season?
I can't wait for Rubio to stink in this league.
