Rumor- Rockstar North to show footage of Agent at E3

We’ve waited long enough.

When Microsoft announced Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360 a few years ago – consequently making the game go multi-platform – many had thought Sony had to retaliate in spectacular fashion. Well, which better way to announce a PlayStation 3 exclusive from none other than Rockstar Games? Agent was confirmed during E3 2009 but absolutely no details at all of the game has been released since then.

Now, though, a tipster has told me that Sony are seemingly preparing to show a “jaw-dropping” footage of Agent for the upcoming E3 taking place this June. It’ll apparently contain over two minutes of pure gameplay footage and will be followed by the first official details of the title. The release date is also expected to be a 2012 date.

After two years of waiting, it undoubtedly makes sense for Sony to come out with a bang and what better way to come out with what every PlayStation 3 owner has been dreaming of: Agent footage.

This is going to be a blockbuster title. Not much is known about it except:
"The game is set during the Cold War and will take players into 'the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations', according to a Rockstar press release. Rockstar has yet to reveal any details regarding the setting for the title other than the fact that it will be set in the late 1970s."
