Bulls and Bobcats discussing 8 player trade. Main peices being Stephen Jackson coming to the Bulls with James Johnson andTaj Gibson going to the Bobcats.

Bulls can pull trigger but are holding hope on landing O.J. Mayo or J.R. Smith without giving up Taj.

By Tech

I have heard that MJ might shake this team up a bit with Silas in town. One of their writers said they want to dump Diop's bad contract with an appealing player like S-Jax.

I'd love to have OJ Mayo, screw Jax though.

OJ Mayo would be great! If the Bulls didnt have the first pick when they got Rose I would have wanted them to take OJ.

even though Stephen Jackson would greatly improve our team. I would rather have O.J. Mayo instead. Jackson should be plan C or D.

Keep trying for Mayo. With Boozers injury history and no Noah, we're gonna need Taj.

very hard to get Mayo without giving up Taj. Mayo is a very good player, they are not going to trade him for nothing.

As far as I'm concerned...our 1st round picks from this year and years after are expandable (not the one from Charlotte, however)...If we're gonna make deep playoff runs anyway, we can get value for our picks. Keep in mind, when you draft in the 20's...for every Taj, there's 19 James Johnson's.

That being said, everyone knows we have char's 1st rounder next draft...and that's what they'll be gunning for.

If this Stephen Jackson trade goes down.......who do you all believe will be the other 5 players involved excluding Gibson, Johnson & Jackson?

not at all...and I think people should be patient and not push and give up too much.

Im patient, i think they can wait for now. I still think Brewer has the potential for offensive growth. I think he should work with the same shooting coach Rose has.

Im just not big on the idea of them trading Taj. Like i said Noahs still gone for like 8-9 weeks and Boozer is always an injury risk. I think front court depth is critical to make a good playoff push in the NBA. Having a guy like taj for what he's getting paid is a blessing.

people seem to WAY underestimate Taj's value.

If I had a choice between Taj and O.J. Mayo, I am probably choosing Mayo.

I don't know about giving up Taj and others for Jackson. Jackson is on the tail end of his career. Taj is up and coming and backs up a postion we are prone to injuries.

Personally I think everyone's getting too antsy about the SG situation. It does need an upgrade but as Doug & many of us have already said, the easiest upgrade is to not start Bogans. The more I think about it the more I think that Korver should be starting next to Rose, especially with all the traps & double teams he's been getting the last few games off pick n rolls.

The Bulls FO would be absolute morons in my eyes if they trade for Jax. 2yrs/$20mill left for a rapidly declining 2-guard with suspect defense & known locker room issues. Stay away, stay far away. Same goes for JR Smith. Mayo would be a great addition but apparently the Grizz are asking for everything but the kitchen sink to get him so I wouldn't bother at this point.
