The phrase "No shit Sherlock" comes to mind while reading this blog.

I don't think anyone is saying that the Blackhawks should rush Toews back and I'm pretty sure just about everyone is taking his injury serious and would like him to be 100% before coming back.

this is a true statement. Only a couple of issues.

1) It is noted in sports history that franchises rush their players back

2) It is noted in sports history that players themselves rush themselves back

I wish i could make money writing articles like this...

"Playing with concussions would me a mistake for players"

"Allowing goals could lead to losing games"

Z is probably one of the most knowledgeable hawks beat writers. he would take us all to school.

and your quotes are a lot like the posts on message boards. very obvious.

If I remember correctly, it was Zawaski who had the sources and sack to report first that Toews had a concussion while Q was still doing his "upper body" tap dance routine while the paper/radio/other media outlets enjoyed the show.

In the article he is simply sharing his opinion--that forcing Toews to return prematurely to win a game or two is silly considering the Hawks are pretty much locked into the 6th speed. He uses the premature return of Kruger and Hjalmarsson's as evidence that the medical staff has been poor at concussion management. He concedes that if Toews needs a game to get back to game speed prior to the playoffs, then the game against Detroit is the one for him upon which to return.

The bitterness going on here is stupid. Don't we all know a Hawks fan or two who should read and understand this opinion as they'll most likely continue to take a tumble without their best forward and best defenseman?

Z and Rozner own it when it comes to the hawks. Too bad they dont have their own show....well hockey isnt discussed in this town on the radio so that wont happen.

As far as your last statement, in a way yes, they should be taking a tumble no doubt....but the problems were still glaring even when both of them were in the lineup. but I see what you are saying.

Toews' health and sanity remaining intact is the one benefit from a soon to get cancelled season.
