would you rather have him on the roster and have him trying out for the 6th man/role player spot, or would you go after mason, bogans, or house in order to play korver at the 2?

the most i'd be willing to give up is jj and a first rounder.

Rudy wants playing time. Not guaranteed to get a lot of it in this rotation.

at shooting gaurd and small forward he'll be able to get some. BUT in all reality, t i agree with you, but i'm not sure who i hate more on defense, rudy or korver. i' rather have brewer start.

It is obvious that our biggest hole is still the 2 guard. We need scoring, which I seem to remember us having at that position at one point, in the recent future, but I can't quite put a name with the face....short guy, avg 20ppg, strong like hercules....

I would be all for taking a chance on Rudy Fernandez given we don't trade anyone on the team besides James Johnson and draft pics. Rudy was decent 2 years ago. Good FG% and good from 3. Might be a nice complement for Brewer and lord knows we need someone who can spread the floor. We are in a tough spot for trades. Pretty much every asset on our team was signed this off season. We don't have alot to trade but can certiantly absorb a little salary.

Hopefully James Johnson and draft picks is enough....

Not sure about the Hercules comparison, but that guy did have some serious arm muscle.

Are you making some kind of prediction for our draft pick next year or something?

Last year, opponent true shooting percentage at SG:

Short guy like Hercules: 56.3%
Brewer: 41.7%

I think I'll take my chances that we have enough scoring elsewhere.

AMEN!

KC Johnson has been saying constantly that he believes Brewer will break out with this team. I am anxious to see what he can do and how much he will improve.

The x-factor for this team is whether Deng can take a few steps back and hit the three on a regular basis this year. That helps a lot. I think the message to him will be clear: Shoot from range or lose playing time. Plain and simple.

i'm hoping to see derrick rose become a better distributor. Brewer has some serious hops. If rose and deng are taking the 3, the lanes are going to be wide open for penetration for brewer. the impression i got from the bullseye podcast with the jazz super fan, brewer is a great drunker and amazing near the rim. i hope to see him explode for us.

i love bg, but i'm concerned about defense. We need a guy who can stop wade at 2 guard position. brewer is our guy. We need some shooters off the bench, because i really hope ronnie doesnt take a lot of 3s this year.

While I'd love to get Rudy, I just don't see it happening. Offering JJ in a trade is like offering a plate of sand for a filet mignon.

I really think people are underestimating Brewer. This kid has all the tools to be a good player in this league. And think he is going to surprise alot of people this year. What we need now is an efficient outside shooting vet to fill in here & there. Bogans or Mason Jr. are fine in my eyes because both work hard, have size & can hit the 3 consistently. I'm not an Eddie House fan at all. And don't even get me started on Me-Mac.

yeah, i wanted rudy at first, but after some consideration, i've realized that we ought to sign a spot up shooter. If rudy is free in 2 years, lets see if we can get him then. If not, screw it.

I'd say if the JJ deal gets us Rudy, then we do it. Otherwise, Mason or Bogans would be perfectly fine. House would be ok too...but I'd rather have the other guys first, just my opinion.

Im really hoping we get Rudy,he would be a good shooter coming off the bench. Lets just see if the deal gets done. What else do they want other than JJ? Id offer them maybe a second round pick as well with it,idk what else we could trade them

I know, only thing I could think of is maybe a draft pick or some extra cash. I say give them a second round pick with JJ and if they dont like it then forget it and keep on looking.
