What has any minor league manager done prior to the big leagues. I do not get that arguement " what has he proven as a manger in the big leagues". Ryno could manage this team, hell I could manage this team this year. There are alot of qualtiy guys out there, Brenly, Girardi, Torre. I think Ryno knows alot of the young talent Castro, Colvin, and Jackson. He would have an edge on this job.

Brenly knows the youngsters too. And he has shown he can win a World Series with a Major League Team, and knows the team as a whole top to bottom. he;d have the same effect (hopefully long-lasting) that Buck Showalter has had on the Baltimore Orioles.

He has also shown that he hates Soriano.

If he were manager, I think he'd put his feelings aside and focus on one thing... WINNING!

But to him that means benching Soriano. He has been about our 3rd or 4th best player and our 2nd best OFer.

So, Piniella pulls him late in games for defense too. We just haven't seen that lately as we haven't had many leads. I don't think he pulled him yesterday, but last year in basically every game we were actually winning, he was pulled for defense.
