How much more room did this give us?

I believe the league told teams to expect $208 million, so this probably has minimal impact. I can use wayback to check OTC, but I'm guessing they've been using 208 for a while as well.

So just the increase?

Doesn't seem like great management from the previous regime.
It doesn't. But I think most teams were right up against the line after it got cut last season.

Exactly. Overthecap already had this number factored in that everyone was using for the past 2 months.

they're on a collision course down the road with ticket prices that only the very rich will be able to afford

Pace could have certainly done a better job of it, but the pandemic had an outsize affect on the cap (as did every team, really).

I am expecting a lot of one-year deals to fill out the roster before this draft to make sure that we can start next offseason with maximal cap space.

Agreed, especially given he's looking at Tier 2 free agents. If the team were 1 or 2 players away, I think we'd be having a different conversation.

The extra cap space will be an advantage if spent correctly. This should give us an idea of how smart and or shrewd Poles is. Short term deals is definitely the way to go now thanks to Pace.

Well any big contract better go to a lineman. There's so many WRs to get excited for that can last into the third round. Sign vets that can protect Fields now and draft some of these weapons!

As usual the players get a raw deal. The cap would be 10 million more now if the pandemic didn't happen. It looks like that extra game the players agreed to didn't get them much more money.

That was part of the deal to not lower the cap even more last season.
