Per TSN reporter Renaud Lavoie on Twitter earlier today, the salary cap is currently at $68 million but the NHL and NHLPA were still negotiating that final value as teams were expecting it to be higher.

A $68 million cap is bad news for the Hawks.

Twitter reports from everyone saying $69 million cap. Hawks are currently over that.

So has that rumor about the falling out between Kane and Sharp and their Roger Dorn- Ricky Vaughn scenario been debunked.

I saw Sharp was given some assurance he wouldn't be traded but I see his name is in the mix again. Maybe this time it involves a lower cap limit?

Chris Kuc from the Tribune reported this morning that the Hawks were listening to offers for Sharp.

Outstanding Major League reference, by the way, but that wasn't the rumor on Sharp.

Yeah, I thought so too but you're right....Ricky got duped by Dorn's bitchy wife.
