Anyone here own one of these phones?
I saw one yesterday. They seem like a phone for the older generation.
For sure can see my dad getting one lolI saw one yesterday. They seem like a phone for the older generation.
Are you a middle school girl?If somebody texts me and the font is green, I just cut them out of my life right then tbh
I'm surprised you even have to ask after witnessing how I act on a Bears message boardAre you a middle school girl?

That shit is so annoying. At one point, my iPhone broke. I still had an old android and wasn't wanting to buy a phone at the time so I just re-activated the Android. Months go by and I think things are just fine and then I start hearing from people here or there - 'Hey I texted you like a month ago, no response' and turns out this happened to alot of people. They all thought I went off the grid or something lol.Keep in mind though, @Hawkeye. hits on a very real thing in our technosociety.
Apple purposefully introduces differences between Apple/Android users to make their own users do exactly what @Hawkeye. said in his post lol.
They also introduce service disruptions between their Apple users and any friends of those users who use Android.
That picture you sent that they never got, even though the SMS system told you explicitly the picture was delivered? Planned.
That text you sent that they simply never got, and prove it to you with screenshots? Planned.
They very purposefully drive a wedge between different phone OS users, to create societal pressure towards their brand.
Idk when we, as a society, agreed that it was okay for Apple to use Social Engineering as a Marketing tool.
Feels an awful lot like none of us said it was okay and Apple needs to get the **** smacked out of them (fines) before they'll act right.

Yeah, if you don't "de-register" your imessage account, it causes all sorts of issues with text messages. Sometimes, it resolves itself in about 48-72 hours with de-registering and sometimes, it can take a week or two. But you have to de-register it or basically you won't get any texts. The worst part is, your telephone provider can't actually fix it, it's entirely on Apple to do it. I can't tell you how many angry people I had when I worked in cell phone sales who would be upset at me that their texts weren't going through when in reality, it was all on Apple's end, not our service end. Pain in the ass since there wasn't a quick resolution. That shit is so annoying. At one point, my iPhone broke. I avoid apple products like the plague for specifically that reason- the social engineering focus of their marketing.
When I buy a device my sole care is "will it function as advertised?" Names don't even register.
Apple panders to those who want to be elite.
They are crafty as can be the way they wrap consumers around their fingers. Very good products, and the packaging and presentation is top notch.
It sends the message that Apple is an experience, not just a product.
The one thing I will say is that they are exceedingly generous grant- wise, my lady went through that experience and it was insane for both her and her tech group.
BUT- at the end of the day that process puts their product in the hands of thousands of kids (consumers), so is it really altruistic or is it marketing?
I mean, when you put top teir gear in kids' hands every day, when birthdays and Christmas roll around, the bar will be set pretty high.
