I like the move because I prefer signing international free agents to domestic ones given their ages. But he is a bat only player and so if he isn't mashing that is a lot of bad paper. Could work out great and give the Sox a young core on offense if Garcia is the real deal too.

I'm skeptical. Obviously, I hope he pans out, and I'm glad they went for him, but I'm always cynical with Sox acquisitions because lately they all turn to crap.
