Anyone? RK? Any info on what the injury is? I'm hearing broken wrist (since he was hit on his wrist when he scored his goal), but that's just hearsay and I hope not true....

He got slashed in the hand area on the play from what I could tell. Hope it's not too serious.

I want to know what Kanes injury is. He isn't skating like he was the first 2 months into the season. Is his ankle bothering him? Or is his brain confused by the improper way he has been bounced from 2nd line center to 2nd line rw to 1st line rw?

It hasn't been the same Kane the last month. Something is up and it's not a Kane slump in my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing. He was the best Hawk point-productionwise the first two months and often the best player on the ice.

I have been pondering this as well and wonder if it is possibly something other than a physical injury.

I do not want to speculate on something awful... but you never know. We are all human and we have our vices.

I aint sayin, I'm just sayin.

Save the flames RK.

Well, there were always the rumors of Kaner going to rehab during the summer when he sort of disappeared for awhile.

I wasn't in anyway suggesting anything about substance problems with Kane.

Just want to make that clear now before RK rips into me for questioning Kanes health or mental state right now. LOL. I don't think it's substance related at all. I honestly think it's either a discomfort problem via an injury or Q has really done a fine job messing with the kids mojo.

I just remember those first 2 months where Kane was power striding and looking fast and agile. The last month a little of that swagger has left his game.

As for Sharp. I didn't even realise he was injured or was in discomfort last night. I was too busy yelling at the officials in the 3rd period to really notice anything or hear anything. If Sharp is lost for any duration this teams in short term trouble with the LW options we have. A Sharp injury would be devistating right now.

Or if Sharp is going to be out for a period of time, it may get them to pull the trigger on a deal.

Being that they're going to have to trade talent to get talent....who would you want/be comfortable with the Hawks moving - Shaw or Hayes? (assuming they're being showcased a bit)

Personally...I wouldn't want either - but they would have to be considered prtty good chips/prospects to be moved if they're going after a big fish.

Puzzler PMXC, right now the both of them look pretty good. I suppose, if pressed I would keep the bigger body.

If the firing squad was infront of the two right now and I had to pick which one to keep it would be Hayes. Don't want to see either go for band-aid repairs though. Has to be a legit NHL blueliner that comes back or a 2nd line Center or LW which obviously would mean more than just Shaw or Hayes.

I see a great young future still ahead for thsi club with guys like Hayes, Shaw, Saad, Smith, Pirri, Morin, McNeil etc etc. Obvisouly they aren't all going to pan out but it's intreguing this crop of young bastards. I don't want too big of a dent put in that crop. But I also want another freaking Stanley Cup viewing!!! And with a couple pieces added to the current roster early I think it could happen again.

I would really like them to be able to keep both as well. I like the way they both win/compete for the 1 on 1 battles on the boards - unlike Frolik and Bickell, who seem to consistantly lose them.

Here's to hoping they both stay Hawks and Scooter can swindle something without including either of those 2.

Sharp out 3-4 weeks with upper body injury per Adam Jahns.

Ben Smith gets the call up.

Wouldn't it be great if those 2 had any worth on the open market? Such a flat out disppointment those 2 have been. Expected so much more from them and is it possible to say they have actually become worse this season?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ****!!!!

Great no legit top line lwer. Maybe Q will put Kane there.

I think this is huge trouble. January is going to be a freaking long month. I don't think Bowman has the abilities to fix this one to be honest. Going to be hard to find many teams that are willing to help out the cause. And talk about chances for another team to lowball us.

It's believed Sharp has a broken bone in left hand/wrist but Q wouldn't confirm

It amazes me how different players are judged by different criteria. People are always quick to criticize Kaner when he isn't playing at the level they think he should. But other players get cut all kinds of slack like Hossa and Johnny. There are never any implications of substance abuse or mental issues or late nights when they are crapping it up big time and not producing. It's always "they are just going through a slump and will come out of it." Most of the time those two look good because Kaner's play makes it possible for them to score. I just think he gets judged way too harshly as do some of the other players. I could understand why he might be depressed the way he gets moved around like a ping pong ball. Personally, I would pick Kaner to be on my team over the other two any day of the week.

Sharp out 3-4 weeks with wrist injury. No surgery required, but no one's saying if there's a broken bone...
