Here's a glance at some of the latest developments as the Bulls search for a new coach and prepare to court top free agents:

Wes-Shaw connection: There has been plenty written about how NBA superfriend William "Worldwide Wes" Wesley was allegedly trying to help get his friend John Calipari one of the league's job openings, with a possible connection to free agent LeBron James. The Calipari campaign never panned out with the Bulls or anyone else.

A new rumor, though, has Wesley pushing Lakers assistant Brian Shaw for the Bulls under the idea that James is intrigued by the triangle offense. Shaw is in his fifth season working under Phil Jackson.

The Bulls are going to wait until the end of the Finals before moving forward on their coaching search. Right now, Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau and ex-Blazers and Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks are the leaders, but Shaw has time to join the race.

Id like to have shaw, lebron has shown interest playing in the triangle offense as i have said in the past.

It is dragging, but it is for a point.

WWW said a couple weeks ago, through PTI, that the team that will have the best offseason will be the one that waits into late June/Early July to sign a coach. Like it or not, the dude has some power...and is definitely in the know.

I'm guessing that Tom Thibodeau is using the Hornets as leverage for the Bulls to make him their next Head Coach
