Shea just got replaced

I was struck by how toothless the Patriots defense has become, with too much turnover and the trade with Arizona I believe their defense has become quite vulnerable since their last super bowl victory.

The Shea experiment just ended in my opinion, with the acquisition of Mingo from Cleveland for a fifth round pick. Mingo has actual talent and may emerge as one of their steal projects. I always liked his step off the edge.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Shea get cut and be out of the league.

Anyway, a chance they needed to take. I don't think even Brady/Gronk can save that roster after 1-3 start.

I predict they miss playoffs.

BB has morphed that D entirely around Shea. They're running a sort of 5-2 that's tailor made to get shea in the best possible situations he can be. That doesn't change because of this new acquisition.

This will undoubtedly be his best season as a pro. It has to be.
