Well looks likes we might of signed our 2nd DP (Puppo 1st). If there is a transfer fee for him then he'll become our 2nd DP. The big question is who will he sit next to on the bench?

or

Does he even make the bench?

Reports: Dutch striker MacDonald set to join Fire - chicagotribune.com

Los Angeles goes for players like Beckham, Lampard and Keane, New York goes for players like Henry, Marquez and there soon to be there 3rd DP (big name). FIRE sign DP's of the likes of Puppo and MacDonald........great job FIRE, I thought you wanted players that make Keane money Andy......

*shrug*

we'll see. He can't score less than zero goals. Let's not forget what a change of scenery did for Oduro.

He will count $175k against the cap this year because he joined halfway through. I'm not sure on the length of the contract, but next year he'd count the full $350k that a full-season DP counts against the cap.

I hope the transfer fee only counts this year and making him a DP just for this year. I hope that his salary in 2013 dosen't make him a DP.

Fire fans have every right to fell really underwhelmed.

Red Bulls get someone like Tim Cahill, proven EPL player for many years and a fixture on his national team.

The Fire get some nobody who is supposedly a striker but doesn't seem to score that many goals. It's kind of sad that they can't attract better names to come play for the third biggest and well known city in America.
