Samurai will return to the battlefield March 15 when Sega releases Shogun 2: Total War for the PC.
The game is the latest entry in the award-winning system from The Creative Assembly.
The game will feature 3D battles on both land and sea (see screenshots).

Coming soon:
- Players will be able to battle mummies (yes, not zombies) in a new Terminator Mode for the free-to-play Mission Against Terror from Wicked Interactive. In the new game mode, players resembling robotic Terminators will seek survive an onslaught of mummies.
- Warp, a stealth action game from developer Trapdoor, will be published next summer by EA Partners, a division of EA.
- A side-scrolling adventure, The Fancy Pants Adventures, will arrive for Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network in spring, EA Partners and Borne Games announced. The game is developed by Over The Top Games.
- EA Partners and Vanguard Games also announced the spring release of Gatling Gears, a dual-analogue shooter, for the PC, XBLA and PS Network.
- May the Force be with Mac users. Feral Interactive announced LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga will ship to stores Nov. 12. The release will bring the complete videogame franchise to the Mac for the first time.
- New copies of nail'd will include a token to download additional content in the American market, Deep Silver announced. DLC for the off-road arcade racing game will include four new tracks, new paint jobs, new vehicle parts and more.
- Aeria Games officially launched Dynasty Warriors Online, a free MMORPG in which factions battle for dominance in ancient China. Check it out at www.aeriagames.com.
- Genesis A.D., a sci-fi multiplayer online first-person shooter from ijji.com, is in open beta. For more on the free-to-play game, visit http://genesis.ijji.com.

- In a two week period, two million players checked out the demo for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Criterion Games, an EA studio, announced. The game itself will launch on Nov. 16.
