Shot in the Dark, Old Picture help

Hey all,



My dad sent me this old picture of my grandma and grandpa walking together a long time ago. Might anyone know by chance where this was taken? It was either in Milwaukee or Chicago I assume:

Well it requires a bit of sleuthing, the first thing to go on is the obvious "lawtons" sign.



Which the first hit is a canada based drug store which is in neither of those places.



I like how back in the day a sport jacket and tie was casual wear.

If it's a Canadian drug store I have never heard of it in the West. So I would assume it's an East based company back then. Could be Toronto as the building across the street from the Lawton building looks a lot like the CityTV building in Toronto.



But they say Lawtons is an East Coast based company...Atlantic Canada.



Grandpa's a big dude!!!

But I think your Grandparents conceived your Dad in Atlantic Canada somewhere. Probably NewFoundland.

Behind the Lawton's sign there is a "bus stop" sign. Found it. Downtown Milwaukee. Lawton's was a Department Store. The good news is your safe regarding the Newfie/Canuck blood lines.

Actually that could be a fun game. People post photos and we sleuth down the locations based upon what we see.

Because he's in Chicago and I'm in Atlanta and I didn't think I should bother him at 8:30 p.m. over such a trivial thing. Besides, we might have a new forum game from it.
