Should Bears shop Kyle Long this off season for a receiver?

Bears fans will typically overestimate the value of players they have fallen in love with over the years. Right now, Long would probably fetch a 5th rounder. He's more valuable as a starter.

A fifth rounder sounds about right, but I think you have to wait until you draft his replacement and even then I think they need to look at replacing Sitton too. At this point keeping Long, even with his injuries concerns, is likely the most realistic outcome.

No need to trade him right now. However, if the Bears are not in playoff contention at the trading deadline then yes. Trade for draft picks, or young player who is under contract for years.
