Should I buy these games?

I can Alan Wake for around 12 bucks which seems like a pretty good deal.

Gears of War: Triple Pack (XBOX 360) : Target

I can get the Gears of War triple pack for around 23 bucks. I have shockingly never played one second of Gears of War. Is it worth it for that price?

Just seeing if any of you think either of these are worth it?

Myself, I loved Alan Wake. There is no replay value to the game, once you beat it, it's done.. but what a great story and a cool mystery and ending. Gears, on the other hand, I really dislike. 3rd person shooters just aren't my cup of tea.

I am not an XBOBX guy. But my buddy was so stoked for Wake, got it, played it nonstop for a day and said it was one of the most disappointing games of all time.

I have always thought Gears was meh....

But at those prices it is not a bad idea.

gears of war is fucking amazing.

The campaign(s) are fucking solid. The multiplayer is ok, it is different if you are a COD player.

So worth the price.

When gears 3 comes out i will not sleep for days.

I got a mic but like I said on xbox it's 30 at target. I might get it still though.

I never got into wake.

I just started playing Gears 2 again multiplayer and need to go through the campaign again to get the story on lock down so i am refreshed when 3 comes out.

I guess they re did how they rank multiplayer, it is a bit like COD now, before it wasnt really like that. So I lost all my credentials. but new achievments!

What I love about gears is that it isnt a game that has a new story and new entire game every 3 months. the anticipation is killing me for 3. There isnt a better campaign imo than gears 2. and as you can see by my gamertag on my sig i play alot of video games.

Have u ever played Condemned? Kind of like that a horror game with a decent story line where you have to kill a lot of things that come out of no where. I like Condemned a lot and wake was just ok.

start with 1 for the campaign.
play 2 after and use 2 for multiplayer

the campaigns are sick. good story too!
