Should Miller be starting instead of Noah?

Doug Collins made an interesting point when the Bulls played the 76ers on TNT last Thursday. He said that the Bulls always get off to a slow start because you have two similar post players in Noah and Thomas who can't really create for any other player (or he said somehting along those lines) and in a way he is right- Although getting off to slow starts has been the bulls only recent problems.

I do think if Deng was back than Miller would definitely be starting considering Deng and Hinrich would be coming off the bench with Noah and thats a pretty good bench- if not Deng coming off than bench than Salmons of course, but with Deng out Hinrich would be the only scorer coming off the bench if Miller was starting (with the exception of Tim Thomas, but his minutes are not promised for some reason).

I'm not really sure if Miller should be starting but I'm gonna go ahead and say he should be... Rose-Gordan-Salmons-Thomas-Miller sounds about right.

Maybe a month ago, I thought the same thing, but not now. We've got a set rotation that the players are comfortable with and Miller plays when the game is at crucial points so we may as well stick with the usual starting line up.

Additionally if there is a lesson to be learnt with how we treated Tyrus the 2 seasons before, it is that young players confidences can be shattered easily. Noah has already been through alot this season with his arrest of alcohol and pot, and not coming into camp in shape, and the fact that he has worked so hard to get into shape and getting his body stronger, we owe it to me to keep his confidence up though starting Miller may be more beneficial to our team.

We may win an additional one or two games with starting Miller at this point in the season, and though it is great that we're in the playoffs it will be a quick exit for the Bulls anyway. We need need for Noah to continue to start not only for his confidence going forward, but also for his development and our teams success in the future.

During the season the aim was to give the young guys experience and confidence. The right thing to do was to start both Tyrus and Noah. But I think in the playoffs you want to give the minutes to your best players. I know Brad's on the downside of his career, but he's better for the team than Noah, soI'd start him and let Noah back up the 4 and 5 spots.

I think I prefer Noah starting and Miller coming off the bench. I think VDN would end up trying to play Brad 40 minutes a game and wear him out too much if he started him. He's already shown the tendency to lean on him too much IMO.

When the trade happen I said Miller should start and had the same reasons as Collins and still think Miller should start because he is the better of the two.

But I completely understand why Vinny hasn't and it has to do with building confidence in these young players.

He is going with Miller late in games which he should and IMO is the most important thing.

I don't really feel anyone can argue that our best 5 is Miller-Thomas-Salmons-Gordon-Rose.

Noah is a hustle player and with the bigs we have now is perfect for 25 minutes a night.

for the long run we will be better starting noah miller, having a quality veteran center come off the bench will be huge...how many teams have a big man coming off the bench with the quility of miller?

I don't think he should. Noah needs all the court time he can get. I think keeping him a starter will show him the Bulls coaching staff has confidence in him. I wouldn't risk benching him and having him go into crap mode again.

Then again one could argue it could help him if he accepted a bench role. Maybe he would be less likely to pick up fouls against a teams backup big man. Maybe his stats would go up and he'd gain even more confidence.

Let's be safe and keep him in the starting lineup. Miller has been playing great off the bench. There's no reason to go screwing up a good thing.

Couldn't have put it any better myself. Miller is the better player, but he is playing when it matters. The Bulls have the fire power to hold down the first few minutes, they should not be falling behind so much because Noah is in instead of Miller. Skiles had Tyrus in a tailspin and Noah as well for one year jerking them around all of the time. At this point they shouldn't change a thing, the only good thing about Vinny has been this tight, consistent rotation since the trade. Dthonus is right, I think VDN would mess things up and end up rotating Noah and Thomas in and out and playing Miller all of the time.

I think I like Miller coming off the bench.

Rose/Gordon/Salmons are all above average scorers. Bringing Miller off the bench gives us (at least in theory) some kind of scoring spark off the bench, even if it's a quick 4-6 points. Also, it gives the other team something to adjust to in order to compensate for a C that can hit the J out to 18 feet.

The Green Bay Packers sold more than 268,000 shares in their most recent stock offering, raising $67 million dollars to help fund stadium improvements, the team said Thursday.

The NFL’s only publicly owned team added more than 250,000 new shareholders during the six-week offering, raising its total to more than 360,000 part-owners of the team.

And how much have the Bears raised from their PSL's???

So when the time comes to hire a new coach, will he have to interview with the 360,000 people that "part-own" the franchise?
