I dont think the Hornets would be dumb enough to trade him.
Taj is going to be in the same situation when Boozer gets healthy. Were not going to trade Taj just because his minutes are down.

I really like Marcus Thornton, and would be a great guy for the 2nd unit. He could be the main catalyst for the offense whenever Rose is off-the-floor.

But who are the Bulls going to give up for him? Taj Gibson is too much to sacrifice.

I'm actually much more curious about:
Peja Stojakovic ($15M expiring) and Jerryd Bayless (off-ball combo-guard) for Luol Deng and James Johnson.

Peja is not what he used to be. He isn't worth giving up Deng for. Especially with his recent play.

That is true, but I still would consider that deal. All of that expiring money looks pretty good...

If you can figure our a 3 way trade :

deng +JJ--> new orleans for a peja plus a draft pick --->
3 draft picks chicago, NO, and charlotte + taj + peja --> Denver for melo and affalo
i'd listen.

Otherwise the time to trade deng has passed. He's a good player, and we wont have cap space to sign a player like deng ever again. We can no longer have addition by substraction. We're a team that's gonna pay the tax, and that's that.

yeah I don't think the Hornets would give him up right now, however, the team we are playing tonight has a damn good SG on their bench and some nights they don't even use him, talking about Nick Young, if it is anyway they can get him, that would be a GREAT pick up, I think he is a guy that can become a STAR if given a chance...now watch him have a big game against us tonight lol

I like the idea of getting Gerald Henderson from the Bobcats, I don't want to give up on James Johnson though

Nothing much I assume. As for Thornton, he's fallen completely out of the rotation for the Hornets due to his defense. I think the Bulls can get him for cheap w/ his value at such a low point IMO

If they can nab Thornton for cheap that'd be great! Didn't realize he was out of the main rotation there. Doubt it would work, but maybe swap JJ for him..

Can't say I'm too sure about the running aspect. His shot is obviously better though.
