Should we be concerned that boozer our highest paid player doesn't play in the 4th? Do we really need him? All he does is shoot jumpshots. I thought he'd be more of a back to the basket type player.

But for all intents and purposes, gibson does the same thing as boozer and he's a farrrr superior defender. I have a feeling we are gonna loose gbson. Cuz I know that management isn't gonna pay him what opposing teams are gonna offer him. Asik too.

hate to say it im a lil concerned. If Wade and James get a lil help from someone of the bench, they can win.

I dont see how this is different than any other time. Boozer is clearly not the 20/10 player he was before his injury in the regular season. That said, Boozer can still get us 13-15 points. He could still go for 20 on a given night as well. Thing is both teams are playing great defense. What's its going to come down to is who makes their free throws and who can hit some shots. We hit NOTHING in the final stretch of this game. For those of you who have checked. We scored 2 total points the last 7 minutes of the game.TWO.

tbh i really don't see boozer getting 20/10 anymore in a consistent basis. Either he's really hurting or it's just our style of play doesn't fit him unlike when he's at Utah.

If I remember right, Booz played w/ Okur (who played primarily outside on offense), leaving him one-on-one w/ his defender in the paint. He's crafty, and his spin move is lethal if the lane isn't crowded. Our offense, however, nearly requires someone else in the paint (both due to lack of outside shooting ability and the emphasis on offensive rebounding) which clogs the lane for him. He's not a good fit w/ Noah on the floor, imo.

But why doesn't he play more with his back to the basket? When they do go to him in the post, he settles for a jumpshot. Even more a fadaway. Him and gibson do the exact same thing.

MTE. He's settling for jumpshots and even his layups are not falling. His shots are easily bothered when he's defended. He's most effective when he's so damn open for a dunk or his defender is too slow for him. Other than that his shots are really shaky.

We need to establish an inside-outside game to keep the Heat out of transition, and position ourselves for putbacks. There is no way around it if we want to beat the Heat.

Another thing that bothers me, is that Noah has lost all faith in his fairly accurate 18 footer. He's left open all day for that shot, and most of the time, we have bodies in the paint to grab the board. If he can make one of them early on, and establish the threat, we'll be okay.

Defensively yes...but we still couldnt score and I feel like Asik wasn't going to change that. Two points in the last 7 minutes...Unless you play absolutely perfect defense and held Miami scoreless in the last 7 minutes..we werent going to win no matter what we did really.

If we made a few more free throws maybe we would've had the lead at that point. Hard to say. But it was clear that Asik was making a huge defensive impact. He's coming up huge on the defensive end along with Taj. We had to get the offense going to go with their defense, but we couldn't. We couldn't make a shot the whole game and that was really the difference. We shoot like 42% from the field instead of 34% and we're probably up 10 at that point in the game. We have to make shots in game 3.
