PLEASE…

Sick, sick, sick, sick, sick and tired of the National media picking the Detroit Lions as such substantial favourites over the Bears in the NFC North. All yesterday, all this morning, I've been reading and hearing about how they will 'win out' easily.

I'm not saying that they won't… I'm not saying that their schedule doesn't favour them… but, just for one more week, at least, let's shut them up with a win.

Go Bears, if not for ourselves, and fans; just to shut up the talking heads on TV.

They have the best defense and offense in the NFCN right now. Doesn't hurt their schedule is cake the rest of the season, either.

Hard to disagree.

There was a thread at the beginning of the season where someone posted a graph of sports writers picking divisions and how the playoffs would go. One guy picked the Lions and I called him an idiot. It's looking like I'm going to eat some crow.

Well, for now they are. Unfortunately, I think they are going to blast the Steelers today, so we will need to win just to keep pace.

Heinz field is having similar weather as Chicago is, but not as severe...Maybe that dome team from Detroit will choke??

The defense really isn't that good...

And their offense is as good as it's going to get.

Here a really sad thing - when the NFCN is healthy, you could argue that the Lions and Packers are both better than the Bears on both sides of the ball.

The problem with that is you could argue the Bears have a better overall team if healthy.

I don't see how if we're worse on both sides of the ball.

They have a very nice lead in the North, Own the Tiebreaker, Pretty easy schedule and fortunate enough to have the Bears beat themselves last Sunday. Its still very possible for us to win the North but as of now we need to Win and the N9ners and Panthers need to start losing. One of the Wildcard spots is our best bet for how we stand as of today.

The Lions have withstood the injury bug..Thats why theyre being successful now. Stafford, Johnson, Bush etc are all healthy.. Packers and Bears are injured

You could argue that, but them beating a healthy bears team earlier in the year would pretty much invalidate the argument.
