Sixth Man: Kirk Hinrich (Chicago Bulls), $9.5 million: Remember when Hinrich was considered a rising star at point guard, a player who led the Bulls to a sweep of then-defending NBA champion Miami in the 2007 playoffs? We can't either. Hinrich, who recently moved into the starting lineup alongside Derrick Rose after coming off the bench the first two months of the season, is posting career lows of 9.0 points and 36.7 percent shooting.

Well I can't remember that player because that player never existed. Ben Gordon led the Bulls over the Heat, along with Luol Deng. NOT KIRK HINRICH. Hinrich averaged 11 points on 45.8 TS% in that series. He was solid on Dwyane Wade (although the way Skiles rotated Wallace, Brown, and Nocioni to set for the charges on Wade had a lot more to do with the Bulls success against Wade than anything Hinrich did). Hinrich was a complete joke on the offensive end in that series.
Ben Gordon averaged 25.5 points on 59.7 TS%. He led the Bulls in scoring in 3 out of the 4 games. He had probably the sickest all around game by a Bull in the playoffs in that series, posting 24 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds, setting the tone for the series. No one in the media has ever given Ben Gordon credit for winning that series for the Bulls, even though he was the only one drawing double teams opening up for his teammates, all while averaging an absolutely sick 25.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 5.3 rebounds in that series.
Luol Deng was great as well averaging 26.3 points on 61.9 TS% and 9 rebounds, which is sick.
Yet now all of a sudden Kirk Hinrich, who was a complete liability on one side of the game, led the Bulls over the Heat. It's time for the media to start doing their job, which is to portray the truth. If you don't know the facts, look them up, because anyone who looks at a gamelog will realize that there is no way that someone who averaged 11 points on 45.8 TS% was leading anyone anywhere.
