For his day he was the best. No doubt about it.

But you can't compare QBs from such different periods. The game in 1943 is completely different than it is now.

As of now the Bears do not have best QB sorry-it does not exist but hopefully Mitch can change that.

How impressive is it that he threw for 7 TDs in a single game when a simple forward pass was a gimmick?
