I'm not exactly optimistic that Kaepernick would solve all our problems, but it would be criminal to not at least consider alternatives if we get today's Trubisky the next few games. Also, I don't care what his politics are and neither should anyone else. He could actually hate white people (he doesn't). He could be a NAMBLA advocate. He could want to roll back women's suffrage. Kap would improve the overall offense as he is a more dynamic runner than Trubs at this point and has a better feel for when to run and when to pass. I would definitely give him a look and give him a few weeks to digest the playbook and you can start him later in the season if Trubs still struggles.
