DID YOU KNOW?

Recent history shows that the road team has fared better in Game 3s when the Final series is deadlocked at one game apiece, winning six of nine since 1989. However, it is interesting to note that when the road team wins Game 3, it later captures the Cup. When the home team wins the third game, it does not finish the deal.

Of course if you go back when the NHL went to a best of 7 for the final the stat is far worse with only one more team (64 leafs) added in. Effectively meaning only 4 of 25 that lost game 3 won the series. Most of that 25 were in the O6 era.

Question, why is it that when a troll comes in here and mentions history, you guys bash them and tell them, that was history we are talking about now, but when the Hawks are losing, all of a sudden we need to go back in history and find stuff in the stats that favor us???? Is that a way to out smart negative thinking, to ease pain? what?

they did not, but again from last night can you take anything away and say we will win game 4?? I know Hossa out was huge, but WTF??? how bad was he hurt not to play? My frustration was about last night, along with the way second and third period of game two. I was the first one that started the rally with the Wings by posting the comeback, Im not trying to be negative, but nothing from last night shows me they are in the same league as boston, sorry. Could it change offcourse, Can the Hawks win Wed, yes, but the entry has to be better, the PP needs to score, they need to finish the checks, and They need to go to the top line of Toews Kane and Sharp, IMO, and play mistake free hockey, along with the D pinching at all times.

Maybe because he doesn't cry like a ***** when the Hawks go down 2-1...and shows that the series isn't over? That teams actually can and do come back after being down 1 fucking game?

I can agree with you to a point. I am by no means calling the series, but the hawks can do some simple things that could turn the series around.

1. The hawks really arent having a problem getting zone time, in fact I would say they are better than boston as far as time on attack.

Subpoint 1. Their decisions with the puck when they have it in the zone is terrible. Always looking for the slam dunk which is resulting in no real scoring chances at all. There were too many instances of me saying "you gotta shoot that". You have 1 goal in 6 periods, its time to simplify like yesterday.

2. The chicago D pinching is becoming detrimental Boston is playing this to a strength they are getting too many odd man rushes off their blue line.

Final Notes: Boston is winning this series soley on capitalizing on the hawks bad decisions. Honestly they have goals off the PP and most of their even strength goals were off of a horrid turnover. They need to start always making the safe play, this will hamper bostons efforts badly, because they are relying on our breakdowns for offense.

This series is actually reminding me more of the Minny series than LA, thats how minny needed to get offense, mind you Boston is by far a better team, but they are trying to get their scoring chances in the same manner.

I am not bashing anyone. Just throwing out an interesting stat. I am also one that does not consider something over until it is over. Sure the situation is dire for the hawks, but it is not over.

I will stand by my opinion of a split both in CHI and BOS.
