I wonder who taught Alexi that tip about how to stop his swing or did he develop it himself? I can't remember anyone else that does it the way he has learned to do. When he came to the Sox, he struck out a lot on pitches that he got fooled on and couldn't check his swing. Every hitter gets fooled on a given pitch and pretty much every hitter tries to stop his swing with his wrists. What Alexi does is unique and should be taught when I think about it. What he does is after he starts to commit to his swing, in a split second later he slides his right hand up to the trademark on the bat and stop the swing before it reaches the point of no return.
