99-63 Regular reason
11-1 post season

4 straight complete games in the ALCS vs. LAA

Electric start out of the game. 15 game lead going into the All-Star break, almost lost it, at one point Cleveland was 1.5 games out of first place in the central.

Sox got their shit together the last week and won the division in Detroit and just kept rolling.

Thank you 2005 Chicago White Sox for a lifetime of memories.

I was actually just wondering about this, for all you cubs fans, did you celebrate that a Chicago team won? Were you at least happy? Or were you upset? Being a sox fan I never knew be ause I was to young at the time to tell and all my family was happy

Magical season, and that was a magical day. Missed 100 wins by one game! Oh well, they picked up 11 more in the playoffs. :D

Thanks for the reminder... it was such a great season that year!

Of course, my pessimistic side says the only thing we will have to celebrate next year is the 7th anniversary, then the 8th, 9th, etc.. I hope that's not the case :(

I thought it was pretty cool that two droughts in a row were extinguished. I was sort of pulling for the Astros because I liked the Killer B's, but Bagwell was broken. Ah well, at least they got there and Chicago had something to feel good about.

Had the Cubs won it all in 2003 and the Giants in 2002 we could have had 4 droughts ending in a row.

Interestingly, it is possible to just be a general fan of Chicago baseball, be a fan of both teams (whether equally or not), or be a fan of one team and not the other without being a dick

Ya, that's what I do, but consider myself a :cubs: fan and follow them a lot more. But I though DePaul was :cubs: first.
