Snapping Turtles gotta eat too

Youtube is apparently flooded with peoples videos feeding their snapping turtles.



I had a wild painted turtle for 3 years I caught, and released (In the same lake I caught it when I went away to college). I used to feed it live gold fish and thought that was brutal. Apparently people feed their snapping turtles fucking rats and mice.



I seriously was in slight shock watching this video from the brutality. I remember back in the day when I was a kid, they used to show the graphic kills on wildlife shows (if you notice they never do that anymore, they show the lion chasing down the gazelle then the aftermath they never show you the thing brutalizing it)



Seriously, this is brutal, so if you have a weak stomache, hate seeing cute furry things getting utterly torn to pieces by a hungry snapping turtle avert your eyes, but if your a twisted **** like me, ENJOY!

A bit to graphic for my taste and would agree the owner of that turtle has some issues. Don't know why you wouldn't feed it a more natural diet. I've fed Boas/pythons live mice before but always gave the mouse a few raps on the nogin with a pencil to knock it out first.

No, but a roommate did. I was always more of a carnivous fish guy; Jack Dempsy, Oscars, ect.... Anyway my wife has a snake phobia, and I would never subject her to that kind of torment.

I snake sat for a buddy who went out of town for a few months that had a 6.5 foot Burmese Python That thing was awesome. I would put him on my neck and he would never go around it, he would just hang. Massage my neck good times.



I didn't feed it for a while, and remembered and got 2 rats. Dipped their buts in some vitamin powder and threw them in the cage. It was amazing watching that thing eat. I didn't tease the snake. I just let him do what he does. Astounding really. The speed he attacked with and the constriction was instant. That rat had no idea what happened.

Me too. I am beyond terrified. I still don't know how they ever talked my into holding that big giant snake last year. I made the other guy hold the end with the mouth cause I didn't want that near me.

My roommate's boa was about 4-5 feet long and very docile/tame. He always knocked out his meals and hand fed him. That boa would strike the mouse/rat while you held it by the tail.

No, but getting a lapdance from Carolee Bilsten of Gurnee while munching on a Crab Daddy Feast bucket from Joe's Crab Shack and watching the 17 year old being slowly lowered into a tank of voracious snapping turtles would probably get you the stake, if you're really into that sort of thing.

Agreed - and I didn't see any of the turtles eating the mice - they just seemed to be tearing them apart. The owner of the video seemed especially fixated on that one where the turtle pulls the head off - notice how he put it on slow mo and replay a few times.

I despise all rodents for the most part and watching it made me chuckle. I watch a lot of nature shit and it wasn't as brutal as when a pride of lions eat the back half of a wildebeest or water buffalo when there are still alive. In one video the water buffalo is save by the herd and is just walking a around without part of its back. Turtles gotta eat too.
